If you put the feeling of plastic, paper and aluminum fingers in the pot of sensitive tissue and stir them, you may end up in the case of the LG Gram 17. Many people mistake magnesium for plastic at first touch, and this alloy is no different. The cover of the Gram 17 and the main panels are relatively thick compared to the aluminum of a MacBook Pro 16 , too. If there is a price for light weight, this is it. However, there are very few reasons for the LG Gram 17 unless the "light weight, big screen" thing is a big game. And while the keyboard tray flattens out a bit if you press hard on it, it's not a problem for normal use. It may not seem like a good laptop at first, but it is one. LG also says goodbye to the headache of adapters. This laptop doesn't throw away all the traditional connectors, because we're all Silicon Valley startup founders with PAs at our fingertips and AI assistants in our ears. It has three USB 3.0, Thunderbolt 3 USB-C, HDMI, microSD and a Kensington lock slot for the corporate crowd. The LG Gram 17 is designed for use from the ground up, and for frequent travelers like us, that's a plus. But it's not beauty, though.
Its screen is not completely flat, with a lip around it, and its style is basic enough, not minimal. The font on the LG keyboard also has the faint air of a 90s hacker movie. But if that bothers you for more than a day, plunk down the extra Buy Bulk SMS Service big bucks (or more) and buy the MacBook Pro 16. Screen 17.0-inch IPS LCD panel 2560 x 1600 resolution A bright finish The LG Gram 17's screen is indeed the highlight, but there's more to it technically than you already know. Availability: It's great. It benefits from everything from boring schedule work to gaming. We switched to the LG Gram 17 from the 13-inch MacBook Pro we usually use, and it feels completely different. What we do most of the time—writing—doesn't justify the 17-inch experience; but great for detailed image editing and music production. LG also reduced the resolution from Full HD standards (1080p) to a higher resolution (2560 x 1600) to make sure that the big screen means more than just bigger pixels.
It's not as sharp or bright as the MacBook's 16-inch panel (3072 x 1920), and the color isn't nearly as good. However, after reviewing Currys PC World laptop reviews over the past year or two, we're still happy with all aspects of this LG screen. Color, brightness, contrast and brightness are more than solid; in isolation, you won't notice that it's not MacBook level. The style of the screen once again shows the special focus of LG. This is not a touch screen, the ring is not very smooth 140 degrees, about 180 degrees back. The LG Gram 17 isn't a hybrid, it doesn't have an extra screen, and it doesn't make any ridiculous compromises for its incredibly heavy weight. It's a glossy screen, not the matte kind used on most 17-inch laptops, but that might suit the XL laptop's style. Glossy screens tend to look better than fabric screens, but are brighter and more distracting, which can be a pain when working outdoors or with strong daylight sources.
